Australian National Network [ANN]

Location of Australian National Network (ANN) stations. Blue dots are the Australian Regional GPS Network (ARGN) stations and the red triangles are the ANN stations

The Australian National Network (ANN) consists of multiple stations, at approximately 500 km intervals across Australia. These sites were observed with GPS as part of an Intergovernmental Committee on Surveying and Mapping (ICSM) cooperative project during 1993 (with some additional observations in 1992 and 1994). Image is gif_29k. Red dots show the Australian National Network (ANN) and the white triangles show the Australian Fiducial Network (AFN).

This network of sites is constrained to the Australian Fiducial Network (AFN), and this forms the framework for the Geocentric Datum of Australia (GDA). It has an estimated accuracy of 0.1 ppm.
